About
Thom Truax is a writer-performer. His work specializes in turbocharged satire, pop spectacle, and moral panic—often using genre and exploitation cinema to interrogate power, belief systems, and celebrity mythology. He is currently developing the horror-comedy feature Slay of the Dead Vol. 1 for Semi-Formal Productions. On the television side, his pilot Child of God was a semi-finalist in the ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellowship 2023. A graduate of USC’s Writing for Film & Television program, his short film Sorry, I Can’t Talk Right Now premiered at Outfest 2022. He also has a degree in philosophy that he can prove exists outside of a simulation.
